Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response in response to DUI instances in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. Alongside her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
