Eva Mendes is an American model and actor. Her name was discovered by a talent agency who was impressed by her talents and convinced her to pursue a career in the entertainment field. She dropped out of college after much deliberation to pursue a career in entertainment. After being disappointed by her performances when she entered the industry, she made her film debut in Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. To prove herself she appeared in a variety of low-budget movies to enhance her acting. Although it was not an easy task, the actor's sheer determination and patience were not unrewarded.
